What is around the barn more than a horse?
Although Backyard Horse does not deal in horses directly, our friends at
Rainbow's End occasionally have more horses than they can use!
P.J. is an Arab donated to Rainbow's End. He is all of 5 years old, and
when he came to the farm he was as close to a feral horse as they'd ever
seen. When he arrived, no one could get close enough to even touch him!
He would hide behind other horses to avoid all contact with people. Had no
idea about halters, leading, how to stand for the farrier --NOTHING!
Through the winter, he's learned all of that and more. He's been saddled
and bridled, is just waiting to be backed. P.J. now is quite an affectionate
guy, is the FIRST in line to greet humans, and follows like a puppy dog.
He's very trusting, and not teriffically "spooky".
04/07/07 P.J now has been backed, and has already been a lead line pony
for the kids. He's doing FANTASTIC, but unfortunately (for you) his price
has gone up! Rainbow's End is now offering this great guy for a donation of
just $700.00
07/02/07 He is now successfully working with our summer campers,
getting the "extra" experiences he needsto become a stellar partner for
somebody.
